Raising the Standards. A campaign by the Black Hair Society

The Black Hair Society is starting a campaign to empower Afro hair salon owners and stylists across the UK to participate in collecting crucial data on qualifications and experience. By engaging the community, the campaign will help raise awareness, industry standards and improve the overall quality of Afro and textured hair services.

We are appealing to salon owners and stylists to participate in our data collection. Your participation will make a difference and through research, we hope to build a stronger community that empowers the contribution of Afro hair stylists to the overall professionalism and inclusivity of the main stream beauty industry.

6. Were the certifications obtained in the UK or abroad, and where?

7. How assessable in your opinion, is it possible for stylist to obtain certifications in the UK in all aspect of Afro/textured hair (for example chemicals/ and non-chemicals) ( on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the lowest)?
